Mindstorm

A fearsome & fantastic journey to the heart of the Savage Id.

Name:
Location: Invisible City, North Dakota, United States

Read my book, The Mind-Warp Era. It'll tell you about the real Lead--& his alter-ego, the true Rootboy covered with slime (the Savage Id). Partly a poignant memoir, partly a cosmicomic book, it relays the Id's adventures thru dark dimensions of funereal dread, with Timothy Leary as co-pilot. (The rumors of his death have been greatly exaggerated.)

Dreamy Bear

Friday Fred gave us a new teddy bear, Dreamy Bear, as a gift when Trish finally had her learner's permit--yippie skippy! She took the test on Thursday last week, after I went out with Karen Upstairs to the Lunch Box for iced tea. Karen wrote up a check for some spending cash, but started to get on my case about our bank account(s): apparently, disability docked us a bunch of buckadingdongs cuz we had too much in savings; but I don't see any practical way to control Trish's compulsive spending than to have the buckadingdongs tucked safely into our joint account.

We need to take some more out Monday, anyway: the water bill is due & I also need to buy another copy of my book to send to NAMI, so that they will finally (hopefully) stick it on their online bookstore, so that I eventually will start to make some sales. I know that the first royalty check or check over 1K buckadingdongs from a magazine publisher will go towards iUniverse's promotion department. (If you haven't read the thing already, it's The Mind-Warp Era, purpurtedly the autobiography of W.C. "Lead" Leadbeater, as he continually transforms into his favorite comic book swamp monster to fight the forces of depravity & evil.)

Friday it snowed, just when Trish needed to walk out to McRonald's to pick up her check. Fred gave us a ride out there & back, & we cashed it, then applied the money toward the house insurance. Trish's check was rather small this time, as she missed 3 days to go out to the state conference in Electric City with us. Friday also Fred came over to jam on the guitar, & I rendered "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" in a bunch of different sounds; my Panasonic keyboard has 150 sounds & 100 rhythms, so it's fun to play around with.

Fred picked Trish up Saturday, too, but that day, after a fitful (non)sleep, I was rather severely depressed, quit re-making/re-modeling "Fragile Eggshell Mind" 1/4 of the way thru, & only played "Blue Sunday" 10 times (following the Beat Monster) cuzza it. Instead, I watched a lot of TV. I'd like to do more reading, but being blind in one eye & 20/60 in the other makes it difficult, though I was working on LOTR & loving it.
